Peanut Butter Blondies

2009 December 7

Hi friends!  Things have been crazy hectic here with preparing for finals and the Holiday Season.  I love love love the Holiday Season but I haven’t had near enough time to deck the halls this year.

Snuffy and I put up the tree… although most of out ornaments are falling apart!  I can’t get my pic to show right but I will post a pic of our sad decorating skills soon!

With all that’s going on I took advantage of one of my favorite ways to relieve stress

Baking!

We made Peanut Butter Blondies  ala  Tina

We used the last of Mallard’s Skippy Natural

and a lil White Chocolate Wonderful for the Peanut Butter

I also used Whole Wheat Pastry Flour instead of All Purpose Flour

Instead of mixing Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips …

I used these! Long time no see, eh?  I received these in a giveaway from Monica a few months ago.

They are adorable

Snuffy loved that she could “sneak” little handfuls while we mixed our ingredients

If you look very closely, you can see tiny Peanut Butter Cups in this Tiny Hand

(disregard the Mommy nails)

If only Reese’s would produce these!

I nibbled while I mixed…my arm was sooooo tired from all of the mixing ;)

I didn’t have canned pumpkin which is a rare occurance.

  So, I had to improvise

Left-Over Sweet Potato and Frozen Banana

I found Mallard’s old blender and pureed the Banana and Sweet Potato before adding it to the batter.

The finished product did have a different texture.  If you have baked with Pumpkin (other than traditional pie) you know what I mean.  But I did love the Peanut Butter Bars!  I actually enjoy the Pumpkin-y texture.

Peanut Butter.  Sweet Potato. Chocolate.

Oh Dear.

Speaking of Delicias,  I found S’More Z Bars on Major Sale! They were only 49 cents each at Kroger.

I’m looking forward to a lot more blogging after these finals!

I must search for those TJ’s peanut butter cups. They’re so cute and purr-dee, and would do just fine and dandy on the inside of my stomach.
