Nothing Fits
Let me be clear about something first: I am not trying to get to an unhealthy size. I am aware of the dangers of ED’s and whatnot.
I am trying to fit back into my clothes. Since I gained weight, I can’t fit comfortably into many of my clothes. I can squeeze into some things. It’s uncomfortable. It’s not pretty.
The dreaded stretch pants
I used to hate it when people wore “gym clothes” when they had no intention of working out that day. But here I am.
I love this shirt though! At least this one still fits.
and now for my honesty rant
After I gave birth, I lost the weight within 5 months and then I became super stressed with school and I lost more than planned. I was too thin. I lost muscle mass. I wasn’t working out. My life was consumed with a high-demand schedule .
I realized I needed to take better care of myself and I got back on track with loving my body thus Whole Body Love
I eventually reached a “happy weight” and was running and dabbling in weight lifting and yoga. Then, my weight crept up and over what was happy. I couldn’t workout as easily. My clothes didn’t fit. I felt like crap.
So, I startd P90X. I lost a couple pounds …as in not many. I got discouraged. I contacted someone about diet concerns. I was given a plan. Plans take time… Beat that into my head. I saw no improvement so I started eating maintenence calories and an extra protein bar or scoop of PB here or there.
Whattya know? I was back to the weight I was before P90X then over it! I realized this needed to be a lifestyle change. I know that I could workout like crazy and cut calories and probably lose some weight but I don’t want to lose muscle mass. I actually gained about 4 pounds of muscle from January to May.
So, I contacted a health coach. I do already eat healthy foods.
I never eat out. NEVER
I pack food and bring it along everywhere
I don’t drink alcohol. Not in over a year.
I have recently broken an addiction to caffeine.
But extra calories can still be consumed when eating healthful foods. You can overeat “clean foods”
I don’t want to unhealthy and skeletal. I want to be ripped, cut and lean. I want to fit into my clothes!
I’m excited to work with Alyson to pick up the pieces and get off this rollercoaster
On a lighter note, Snuffy is still potty-training
You should never reward your child with food

Or post it on the internet…she’s gonna kill me when she is older
In my defense, the baby-sitter started the sucker reward. She has since change to sticker charts

In my opinion, your legs look great!! Super toned and lean! But I of course support you 100% and your decisions/want for your body! I’m here for ya!
And that is just the cutest picture of your daughter! Candy for going potty.. genius babysitter!
I know the feeling. You just want to get back to where you were–and then feel fit. It’s a struggle. I too eat very healthy and for a long time I just overate on the good stuff. It’s a frustrating cycle. Hope workign with Alyson is everything you want!
I know the feeling and am right there with you. I’m doing more exercise then ever before, yet my pants are getting tight and i can’t figure it out. it’s a struggle and it’s hard, but i know you’ll find a balance soon and be able to step past that uncomfortable feeling!
My pants are getting tight too
I tell myself I don’t know why but I do
No more peanut butter or blue chips in my house! Okay that and this pill i’m on is making me fat I just know it!
Wow, I think your legs and butt look awesome! I know what you mean about struggling with clothing sizes though. I actually lost a lot of weight last year, and now all of my pants are too big. I know this is an annoying thing to complain about, but being this skinny actually hurts (which is why I am trying to bulk up with muscle), and I literally cannot get pants any smaller than what I have. So I am living in yoga pants world too girl.
I wish clothing fitting and body image wasn’t such a big issue for women. I totally struggle and hope you wear your sweats with confidence! (picture of potty-training candy-stealer is hilarious btw; I love it!)

First—adorable picture of snuffy.
I think it’s great you’re reaching out to a health coach who can help you out
I love that shirt! The candy eating potty trainer is too cute!
I can understand how you feel, I have been there. If you are eating clean, never eating out, etc, it could be something hormonal?
Like you said, maybe portion control…but it could also be a food allergy or something in your body that is off-balance. I have seen it with a couple clients, that eat SUPER clean, work out daily, rarely eat out and gave up alcohol–and still couldn’t lose weight. You are also small and probably do not have much to lose (I think you look great, but I get it you want to feel comfortable again and fit into your previous size)–so for some reason or another your body is being very stubborn and holding onto those 4-5 pounds. If you truly think it’s portion control; then it seems like you are getting on track with that–if you don’t think that’s working (eating too little calories will only makes things worse too)–look into food allergies (elimination diet), hormonal issues (see an endocrinologist maybe?), too much heavy metal in the blood (which is something I see more and more), or vitamin deficiencies (maybe needing more of certain foods, I know you eat clean but could be food combos)
Good Luck!
girl i think you look killer in those pants
i’m excited to see what alyson gives for you to do! as long as you’re happy that’s what’s important!
I would kill for an ass (i mean butt) like yours
Girl you should see what i have to do to try to get one! I am doing all this stuff trying to create a butt. I would love yours! you look beautiful!
and my take on potty learning, just like walking, crawling, or self-feeding, you can’t force it, teach it, even nudge it along. it just happens. seriously one day skylar just did it. at age 3 yrs, 1 mo. Never had an accident, can hold it 10 hrs. The switch “clicked” finally. but Lemme tell you, people were like well what are you doing about it (the fact she was 3.) I was like ummm nothing? what can i do, only she can do it! Moral: she’ll get there
xo
TOO CUTE!! Congrats to Snuffy
And while the suckers do sound like a good idea, I think stickers are better (and I’m sure you do too). I can’t believe you posted that picture, I love that!!
Regarding your weight issues, I say more power to you. I love your realistic way of going about your goals. You are really on the right track. I’m glad your healthy coach is giving you the help you need. Keep up the good work, and don’t forget I’m available for any questions and/or support!
seriously, you rock those pants!
I need to remember that it’s possible to overeat clean, good food. That’s a big challenge for me.
And that toilet picture is hilarious.
